The Gold Coast SUNS are thrilled to announce the re-signing of Jarrod Harbrow, Alex Sexton and Danny Stanley.

List & Strategy Manager, Scott Clayton, said the club was pleased to have yet another group of players re-sign just days after the GC SUNS extended the contracts of David Swallow, Sam Day, Kade Kolodjashnij, Sean Lemmens and Jack Leslie.

“We are thrilled that Jarrod, Alex and Danny have joined the growing list of players who are re-committing with Gold Coast SUNS,” Clayton said.

Queenslander Jarrod Harbrow is a leader on and off the field is looked up to by many of his younger teammates. Harbrow joined the GC SUNS as an uncontracted player selection after 70 games with the Western Bulldogs between 2007 & 2010. Now 25 years of age, Harbrow has played 58 games for the GC SUNS.

“It has been a great move for me; the first couple of years were challenging, but the team is going in the right direction, we’ve got a really good group who are desperate for the Gold Coast to succeed,” Harbrow said.

Fellow Queenslander Alex Sexton has played 10 games for the GC SUNS after being selected as a local talent access selection at the 2011 draft. GC SUNS fans got a glimpse of the exciting youngster in 2013, playing four games late in the season before dislocating his shoulder. Sexton kicked three goals against West Coast in round 19 sparking a comeback that ultimately fell short.

“It was an easy decision for me to re-sign with the Gold Coast, I’m just looking forward to playing some consistent football and continue my growth as a player,” Sexton said.

Stanley has been a model of consistency for each of his three seasons at the GC SUNS and Stanley took another step forward in 2013. Since the GC SUNS revived his career after he played five games in four seasons at Collingwood, Stanley has repaid them with excellence in a variety of roles, including half-back, midfield and half-forward.

“I’ve pretty much been here since the start, having played VFL with the team in 2010 before the club entered the AFL. I suppose it has been a unique path, but I’m really enjoying my football and can’t wait for what the future brings here on the Gold Coast,” Stanley said.
