Given the Gold Coast SUNS have won four consecutive matches, including a comfortable 38-point win over St Kilda with a fit and in-form 22 last weekend, changes to the round 10 senior side are unlikely.

GC SUNS coach Guy McKenna reiterated this message in his weekly press conference with rookie Kade Kolodjashnij the most likely to break into the line-up if any changes are made.

Sean Lemmens suffered a corked calf against St Kilda but should be available for senior selection, although there are players pushing their case for a recall to AFL level via the NEAFL.

#3 Timmy Sumner

Sumner bounced back into some form against Redland in the NEAFL on Sunday, finishing the game with 20 possessions and six inside 50s.

What they said…
“There is no doubting there is an X-factor about Timmy that continues to excite all those around the club. He has tremendous upside as a high half-forward, and his work-rate around the ground is only improving.”
- GC SUNS reserves coach, Josh Fraser

#7 Karmichael Hunt

Hunt finally overcame concussion troubles and was solid in his return to football, finishing with 26 disposals, five inside 50s, four clearances and a goal against Redland.

What they said…
“His last three games have been super, he just hasn’t been able to complete a full game and when he does that he’ll be knocking on the door.”
- GC SUNS Coach, Guy McKenna

#21 Jeremy Taylor

Taylor had 16 disposals and nine marks to half-time in the most recent NEAFL clash before fading in the second half. The mid-sized defender has been in fine form for the reserves and is letting his football do the talking.

What they said…
“Jeremy consistently features among our best performing NEAFL players, and has shown great improvement and development as a half-back flanker. He continues to impress with his ability to run on the outside, and work in the inside contests; I’m confident a senior opportunity is on the horizon for him.”
- GC SUNS Reserves Coach, Josh Fraser

#28 Kade Kolodjashnij

Kolodjashnij was rested from the round nine side due to a minor knee injury but has been outstanding in the seniors so far in 2014, averaging 21 disposals from his six senior appearances. Will need to be passed fit at Thursday’s main training session, but will come under strong consideration.

What they said…
“If he’s right, he’ll certainly come under selection (consideration).”
- GC SUNS Coach, Guy McKenna

#29 Tom Murphy

Murphy has been the travelling emergency for the senior team for the previous two AFL games, indicating that he’s close to cracking through for an AFL berth.

What they said…
“Murph’s listing as our travelling emergency player is indicative of his consistency at NEAFL level. His leadership around the reserves team is a constant stand-out, and should his opportunity arise at the elite level, he will grasp it with both hands. “
