The Gold Coast SUNS have re-signed 19-year-old Touk Miller, extending his contract until the end of 2017.

Miller, one of just four players to have played every game for the GC SUNS so far in 2015, has extended his commitment for a further season.

Taken with selection 29 overall in the 2014 NAB AFL Draft, Miller averages 17 disposals, seven of which are contested and five tackles in his first seven matches.

A dynamic small midfielder with pace, agility and elite endurance, Miller hunts the football, is a prolific ball-winner and long kick.

Miller told goldcoastfc.com.au he was extremely happy to extend his commitment to the GC SUNS.

“I’ve settled in really well to life on the Gold Coast and I’m really excited to extend my contract with the SUNS.

“My footy has gone to another level under the direction of Rocket and the rest of the coaches, and I know with plenty of hard work ahead, I can continue that improvement over the next few seasons,” Miller said.

GC SUNS List Manager, Scott Clayton, was pleased to confirm Miller’s contract extension and credited his manager, Ned Guy, for extending Miller’s standard two-year deal for all draftees to a three-year contract.

“We are rapt that Touk has committed to the club until the end of 2017,” Clayton said.

“Being drafted by an interstate club can be tough at times, but to extend your contract early gives Touk and the club every opportunity to ensure he becomes the player we know he can be for the Gold Coast SUNS,” Clayton said.
