In the lead up to Round 20 of the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership season the Gold Coast SUNS are proud to be supporting the Organ and Tissue Authority’s DonateLife Week.

The SUNS, alongside the AFL and the 17 other clubs, will this week play their role in raising awareness about the decision to become a donor and the impact this would have on those awaiting life-saving transplants.

Approximately 1,400 Australians and their families are currently awaiting transplants, with each organ and tissue donor able to transform the lives of 10 or more individuals.

DonateLife Week ambassador, Michael Barlow, has urged SUNS supporters far and wide to talk with their loved ones about organ donation and make their decision count by joining the Australian Organ Donor Register (AODR).

Registration leaves families in no doubt of your decision to be an organ donor in what can be a sad and stressful time.

Make your decision count this DonateLife week by joining the Australian Organ Donor Register at donatelife.gov.au, sharing your donation decision with family and friends and spreading the work on social media using #MakeItCount and #DonateLife
