There have been plenty of young men turning out in Gold Coast SUNS uniforms on the field over the club’s first few seasons, but none as young as those encountered by the GC SUNS Community team at the Oxenford & Coomera Community Youth Centre recently.

Sunny Ray joined the Community team at the Upper Coomera Community Centre for its Baby & Toddler Expo.  The GC SUNS mascot handover over a $2,500 in funding from the club to assist the centre in coordinating the day.

Over 1,000 people from community groups, local government, and local residents attended the expo.

The funding was handed over as part of the GC SUNS Horizons program, which has the North Gold Coast region as one of its three key social responsibility areas, alongside youth homelessness and domestic violence.  Rotary 9640 – Gold Coast is the sponsor and delivery partner of the Horizons program.
