The Gold Coast SUNS can confirm first-year draftee Jed Walter has broken his collarbone at training.

Walter, who joined the SUNS with pick 3 in the 2023 AFL Draft, sustained the injury in a training drill this morning.

The 18-year-old will undergo surgery this week with a recovery timeline to be determined post-surgery.

SUNS Academy and Palm Beach Currumbin Lions product Jed Walter will make his AFL debut in Sunday’s Round 2 clash against the Western Bulldogs in Ballarat.
