The Gold Coast SUNS has named the extended squad to face the Western Bulldogs in Ballarat on Sunday afternoon. 

There will be at least two changes, with Malcolm Rosas Jnr coming out of the team after accepting a one-match suspension while Darcy Macpherson has been omitted after being named the substitute for the first two matches of the season.

As announced earlier, SUNS Academy draftee Jed Walter comes into the team to make his AFL debut after overcoming a pre-season shoulder injury.

It will be cause for celebration in Ballarat when Brandon Ellis runs out for his 250th AFL match in his 13th season (fifth with Gold Coast).

Ellis will play his 74th game for the SUNS which moves him to 34th on the all-time games list for Gold Coast.

On the extended interchange for the match against the Bulldogs is Sam Flanders, Nick Holman, Levi Casboult, David Swallow, Mac Andrew, Ben Long, Rory Atkins and Sam Clohesy.

Andrew, Long, Atkins and Clohesy loom as the possible replacements for Macpherson, with the final team to be announced at 4pm AEST on Friday afternoon.

The match against Western Bulldogs at Mars Stadium gets underway at 12:00pm AEST on Sunday afternoon and will be broadcast live on Fox Footy, Kayo and the Seven Network (check your local guide).
