TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT

The Gold Coast SUNS go into tonight’s match with an unchanged team from last weekend’s loss to GWS. The substitute will be announced 60 minutes prior to first bounce.

GAME NOTES
  • Jack Lukosius will play his 100th match. Lukosius is the third-fastest SUN to reach the milestone, missing just 13 possible games in his career to date. Only Touk Miller (10) and Charlie Ballard (12) have missed fewer games en route to their 100th match. Lukosius is the 20th player to play 100 AFL games in SUNS colours.

  • Round 5 marks the 13-year anniversary since the SUNS’ first win in the AFL, over Port Adelaide in Round 5, 2011.

  • The Gold Coast SUNS will have 5 SUNS Academy players (Jed Walter, Ethan Read, Will Graham, Sam Clohesy & Bodhi Uwland) in the team to take on Hawthorn. Last week Clohesy set the SUNS record for most disposals on debut with 22.

  • David Swallow will surpass brother Andrew Swallow’s games tally this week, lining up for his 225th AFL match. Andrew played 224 games with North Melbourne.
