Gold Coast SUNS fans will be able to get their fix of AFL footy action this weekend with the Club set to live stream their NAB Cup match against reigning AFL premiers the Sydney Swans at Blacktown International Sports Park on Saturday night.

The match will be hosted on goldcoastfc.com.au with the match day page set to encourage viewers to join the match day digital conversation with fan tweets and Facebook messages set to be read out and discussed by the call team in show and during breaks in play.

AFL radio-caller Andrew Browne will lead the commentary alongside GC SUNS Media Manager Stephen Wilson, while GM Football Operations Marcus Ashcroft and CEO Travis Auld will also interact with fans on the night.

GC SUNS General Manager of Communications & Content – Jason Sintome, told goldcoastfc.com.au the SUNS TV broadcast had been organised to cater for a growing demand from fans around the country, who desperately wanted to see the GC SUNS in action.

“Foxtel/Fox Sports and the AFL have been fantastic to deal with in regards to providing permissions for the live stream which sits outside the current broadcast agreement, and we are certainly thankful that they have taken feedback from clubs supporters on board and allowed us to provide the two camera broadcast from Blacktown.

We pride ourselves on delivering a unique game day and digital experience for our members and supporters and by encouraging viewers to interact directly with the commentary team and have their messages discussed on air is certainly a small way we feel we can further connect with our supporters and enhance their game day experience” Sintome said.

Accessing the live stream has been made simple for visitors to goldcoastfc.com.au with a large banner on the home page delivering them directly to the match centre.

The Gold Coast SUNS v Sydney Swans broadcast gets underway from 5:30pm (AEST) on Saturday night with the opening bounce from 6:00pm (AEST).
