Former Tiger and Docker, Ashley Prescott, will coach the GC SUNS forward line in 2015.

Prescott has spent 12 months with club, originally joining the coaching panel as a development coach and now progresses to a line coach.

Between 1993 and 2001 Prescott played 128 games with Richmond and Fremantle, before going on to coach Claremont in the WAFL (2004-07). He then spent three years respectively with Essendon (2008-2010) and Fremantle (2011-13).

Prescott will replace Mark Riley who will not continue his role on 2015.

Prescott will work with the club’s forward group and manage the side’s offensive structures under the guidance of Rodney Eade.

General Manager of Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft, congratulated Prescott on the appointment.

“Ashley played a valuable role in our Football Department as Development Coach this season and has impressed everyone in his first year with the club. We are confident he will continue to make a fantastic contribution in his new role,” he said.

The club has begun the process of identifying a replacement for Prescott in a development role capacity.
