The three recruits that arrived at Metricon Stadium during the trade and exchange period have been allocated their jumper numbers for 2017, while a handful of senior players have opted for a change.

Former Brisbane Lion Pearce Hanley will don the No. 1 guernsey while emerging midfielders Jesse Lonergan (7) and Brayden Fiorini (8) will now have adjoining lockers with new numbers to adorn their jumpers.

Lonergan wore the No. 37 guernsey for four seasons and will take Nick Malceski’s former number, while Fiorini has taken foundation SUN Luke Russell’s number eight after the Tasmanian was delisted following 73 games over six seasons at the Gold Coast.

Kade Kolodjashnij will move into the No. 10 guernsey vacated by Dion Prestia, who wore it on 95 occasions for the SUNS.

Former Collingwood ruckman Jarrod Witts will wear the No. 28 previously worn by Kolodjashnij while Jarryd Lyons has taken Danny Stanley’s No. 25.

Delisted free agent signing Michael Barlow is yet to select a number.
