The AFL wishes to advise that all ticketing allocations for the Round 8 Toyota AFL Premiership Season match at Jiangwan Stadium in Shanghai have now sold out.

AFL Chief Financial Officer and General Manager for Clubs Travis Auld said he was pleased the first match outside Australia and New Zealand for premiership points has received so much support.

“It’s an exciting moment in the build up to the first Toyota AFL Premiership Season match in China to confirm that tickets have now sold out,” Mr Auld said.

“Interest in the match has been great since the fixture was announced in October, and now 10,000 excited fans will witness the Gold Coast SUNS play Port Adelaide at Shanghai’s Jiangwan Stadium.

“It’s a testament to the hard work by the team delivering this match that we’ve reached this milestone three week’s out from the game.

“The crowd will be made up of fans travelling from Australia, fans from the Asian region and new fans from within China itself.

“I’d like to acknowledge Port Adelaide’s continued work in China to get us to a point to host a regular season match in the country,” he said.

The Round 8 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season match between the Gold Coast SUNS and Port Adelaide is scheduled for Sunday May 14 at 1:15pm local Shanghai time.
