The Gold Coast SUNS today announced Cover-More Travel Insurance as a major partner for the club.

The new partnership will see Cover-More, Australia’s leading travel insurance provider with global operations spanning 14 countries, become the exclusive travel insurance partner of the GC SUNS for the next five years.

GC SUNS Chief Executive Officer, Mark Evans, welcomed Cover-More to the Gold Coast and to the SUNS family.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome a global specialist like Cover-More to the Gold Coast in a partnership which brings together our club, Australia’s number one travel destination and Australia’s number one travel insurance provider.”

He said the new partnership with Cover-More would also benefit SUNS members and fans through access to unique SUNS-branded travel insurance products not only when they travel to games but whenever they travel, either within Australia or internationally.

“There are many synergies with the Cover-More brand and our brand which has strong links with domestic and international tourism. We look forward to a close working relationship with Cover-More as we strengthen and build our brands together in the years to come,” Mark Evans said.

Cover-More Group Chief Executive Officer, Mike Emmett, said the partnership with the SUNS was an investment in both an exciting club and their exciting location in one of the most popular travel destinations in Australia.

“Cover-More already partners with Australia’s most well-known travel brands including Flight Centre and Virgin Australia and we see our new partnership with the GC SUNS as a natural extension to that.”

“AFL is a massive industry in Australia with a dedicated and passionate following and we are thrilled to associate our brand with both the AFL and one of the newest teams in the GC SUNS.”

“The SUNS continue to build their club and their brand around being bold, fresh, dependable, relentless and community focused. Cover-More shares those values and we look forward to working with the SUNS to expand their membership and fan base,” Mike Emmett said.

The partnership with the SUNS follows the recent announcement of Cover-More’s partnership with global sporting giant Arsenal F.C, one of the world’s most supported sporting clubs.

From today, the Cover-More Travel Insurance brand will feature on the front of the away and clash guernseys, the back of the home guernsey and on team training gear and support team apparel.
