Alpha Sport Injury Update: May ruled out

Gold Coast have confirmed the extent of ankle injury to Captain Steven May.

The Gold Coast SUNS today confirmed that Steven May will be unavailable for selection after suffering an ankle injury.

May is expected to miss 4 to 6 weeks after scans confirmed damage to the lateral ligament in his right ankle. May sustained the injury after colliding with Patrick Dangerfield as he attempted to spoil the ball late in the game.

In positive news, Aaron Young has escaped serious injury on his right ankle and is a chance to play this week against the GWS Giants on Saturday, should he get through training this week.

Midfielder Aaron Hall is set to undergo scans this evening and a further update will be provided in the Alpha Sport Injury update on goldcoastfc.com.au tomorrow.
