Gold Coast coach Stuart Dew has named an unchanged side to take on Essendon at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night.

Steven May has recovered well from two separate incidents in the match against North which saw him seek treatment to his hip, and will take his place in the side.

It is the first time the SUNS have been unchanged this year.

After putting together an improved performance against North Melbourne, Dew will be hoping to capitalise on the building form with a win over Essendon.

“We’ll prepare for their best, we know they’ll be a little bit of a different looking side with a couple of injuries,” Dew said.

“We’ll do our homework and prepare for their best as we always do and we expect that they’ll bring that on the weekend.”

The SUNS are on even pegging with two wins and two losses against the Bombers in all games played at Metricon Stadium.

Fans will be treated to a double-header on Saturday with the final round of the Winter Series acting as a curtain raiser for the AFL game, kicking off at 4.50pm.
