SUNS Academy and Allies captain Bailey Scott has been awarded All-Australian honours in at the 2018 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships after impressing over the five rounds.

Scott, who was named in the forward line, is the only member of the SUNS Academy in the side and one of two Queenslanders. 

His best performance arguably came against WA, where the draft prospect racked up a game-high 30 disposals and one goal to be the Allies’ best afield.

He registered two goals and a team-high 22 disposals in the midfield against South Australia and also was consistent against Vic Metro with 19 disposals and four clearances.

Despite being a SUNS Academy member, Scott is eligible to join both Geelong and North Melbourne as well as a father-son selection.

His father, Robert Scott, had a 132-game career with the Cats before moving to North, where he played 111 games and won a premiership. 

Scott is the third SUNS Academy product to earn All-Australian honours at Under 18 level, joining current SUNS Jack Bowes (2016) and Brayden Crossley (2017).
