In positive news for the Gold Coast SUNS, first round draft pick Brayden Fiorini has been reinstated onto the senior list and has been named to line up for the SUNS reserves in Sydney on Saturday afternoon.

Selected with pick No. 20 in last year’s national draft, Fiorini ruptured the lateral collateral ligament in his right knee in a NEAFL match in mid-April and is now ready to resume playing after a lengthy stint on the sidelines.

To enable rookie Jesse Joyce to stay on the senior list, captain Gary Ablett has been placed on the long-term injury list.
