With his troops finally returning, Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade expects a quick turnaround in fortunes for the SUNS.
Kade Kolodjashnij, Matt Rosa, Alex Sexton, Touk Miller and Callum Ah Chee all return to play the Sydney Swans at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night and Eade expects instant improvement.
The Gold Coast is expected to cop a deluge of rain around game-time, but Eade says that will be no excuse for his beefed-up team against the powerhouse Swans.
"There's enough positivity in the way we're going about it, that getting some numbers back will make a fair difference," Eade said.
"It's going to be different this weekend because of the weather, it's going to be a bit of a battle, but I think there's enough from what I've seen that we can turn this around pretty quickly."

Gold Coast has lost seven straight matches, but Eade says looking beyond the losing margins he has seen improvement.
Rory Thompson, Trent McKenzie and Jack Leslie will all return from injury in the NEAFL, while Adam Saad, Sam Day and Jarrad Grant should be only a week or two away.
Eade said although poor weather could often accentuate the difference between quality players and the rest, he believed the SUNS would acquit themselves well against the red-hot Swans.
"It's going to depend when the rain comes and how much there is.
"If it doesn’t rain during the game, I think it'll be ok, but if there's heavy rain during the game, it's going to be a bit of a slog.

"Sydney are as good as any team in the competition at the contest and putting pressure on.
"You've just got to get your head over the ball, keep it in a straight line, keep the ball going forward, it's a game of meterage, nothing fancy, just a bit of a slog.
"It tests you physically, but it tests you mentally that you've got to stay in the game for longer periods.
"The spirit has been good and that's been driven by the leaders. They go into every game with a positive frame of mind."
