David Swallow was a clear best-on-ground for the Gold Coast SUNS in yesterday’s 32-point loss to the Adelaide Crows, with the former number one draft pick collecting a game-high 37 disposals and two crucial third-quarter goals that brought the GC SUNS right back into the game.

Fellow midfielder Dion Prestia was also prolific for the Gold Coast, following up his outstanding game last week with another fantastic outing. The vice-captain had 29 possessions, six marks, six clearances, seven tackles, eight inside 50s and two goals.

Captain Gary Ablett had 25 touches (18 contested), eight clearances, six tackles and two goals while forward Charlie Dixon played a key role for his team with 22 disposals and two goals.

Greg Broughton (16 disposals, six marks, seven tackles), Michael Rischitelli (18 disposals, seven tackles), Danny Stanley (18 disposals at 100% efficiency and seven marks) and Zac Smith (15 disposals, 30 hitouts) were among those who tried hard all day for the SUNS.

In Round 10, Dion Prestia took out top votes ahead of Matt Shaw and Tom Lynch. Gary Ablett still holds a substantial lead on the overall leaderboard with 223 votes, ahead of David Swallow (121 votes) and Prestia (62 votes).
