Gold Coast SUNS vice-captain Dion Prestia says his side is up for the daunting challenge of taking on the Crows at Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

Speaking to SUNS TV from the change rooms following his team's training session on the Adelaide Oval, Prestia said a good start was required.

"We're expecting a pretty fierce contest; this is probably our biggest test, it's going to be important to get a good start and be consistent," Prestia said.

The redeveloped Adelaide Oval has become the talk of the town in Adelaide with capacity crowds filling the stadium.

"It reminds me a bit of the SCG, we played there last year, and it feels like everyone is on top you. It's awesome and I'm looking forward to playing out there tomorrow. "

The Adelaide Oval has hosted nine matches since its redevelopment and has an average attendance in excess of 45,000. Tickets to Sunday's match have sold out, and a crowd of over 50,000 is expected.

The largest crowd the SUNS have played in front of was 36,913 against Collingwood at the MCG in 2012.

"A lot of Adelaide supporters will come out, we've been told it is sold out so it's going to be really exciting for the boys, we haven't really played infront of a packed house yet, it's going to be a good experience," Prestia added.

Prestia said the return from injury of defender Clay Cameron would be extremely important given Adelaide's power forwards.

"They've got some key tall forwards, so he'll help Steven May who has been in really good form down there."
