The Gold Coast SUNS held their annual Family Day last Sunday when the Western Bulldogs paid a visit, but not too far north of Metricon Stadium was another Family Fun Day on the same day which the club took part in.

Studio Village, near Oxenford, held its Family Fun Day as part of its work in providing support networks for families in the North Gold Coast region.

Studio Village Community Centre is one of the GC SUNS’ 10 nominated charities that it supports through the HORIZONS program as part of the work the club does in the North Gold Coast region.

Gold Coast SUNS community programs officer, Tim Mackrill, was able to handover a cheque on behalf of the club from the Horizons grant program for $2,500 to Jenny Schofield from Studio Village. The money will assist the not-for-profit organisation as it tries to engage young and underprivileged families in the North Gold Coast region and encourage family bonding at events like the Family Fun Day.
