They are as tight off field as they are important to the Gold Coast SUNS on it and as Gary Ablett prepares to face the Melbourne Demons in his 250th AFL Premiership match, the GC SUNS skipper profiles injured Ruckman Zac Smith.

“Zac's a good mate of mine, I guess when I first got to the Club, Zac was the most professional bloke, everything he does, he does at a hundred percent, even the way he lives away from the Club with his diet, his recovery things like that, I don’t think there is anyone better at the Club.”

The skipper saying Smith has remained an important member of the squad during his recovery from a ruptured ACL, through his selfless dedication to team care.

“Unlucky that he has gone down with a bit of a knee injury, and I think he has handled that quite well, stayed pretty positive about it and he’s still in here most days making sure the boys are ready to go and I’m sure he will be back playing some good footy next year.”

Be there on Saturday night to celebrate Gary’s 250th AFL Premiership match with the Gold Coast SUNS at home to the Demons.
