They call it the ‘race of truth’, nowhere to hide just you, your bike and the clock. It takes a brave heart to ride a time trial.

Gold Coast SUNS CEO, Travis Auld will participate in the cycling event like no other and raise money for Bravehearts as it strives to make Australia the safest place in the world to raise a child.

Auld and his team, including GC SUNS Director Bob East, and the club’s Patron Partners, Southport Sharks CEO Dean Bowtell, will come as close as they ever will to competing in a pro cycling event. The Bravehearts Time Trial is a replica of a professional trial from the ramp start to the motorcycle cameras and timing gates.

Auld and co will ride against a Orica GreenEDGE representative and others in this exclusive replica pro time trial.

This exclusive event is capped to just 400 riders and competitors must raise a minimum of $1000 (which includes a $100 registration fee) with the most raised winning a trip to the 2014 Tour De France. All funds raised will help Bravehearts educate, empower and protect Australian children against sexual assault.

Auld says he is up for the challenge.

"The race will allow my team to challenge itself while raising much-needed funds for the education and counselling for kids and their families affected by child sexual assault," Auld said.

“It's serious racing for a brilliant cause and the opportunity to race against Robbie and Orica GreenEDGE reps was just too good to pass up."
