The AFL today finalised the Round 23 fixture for the 2013 Premiership Season, with the Gold Coast SUNS set to face the GWS Giants on Sunday 1 September (1:10pm) at Metricon Stadium.
The League has sought to maximise fixture options for week one of the 2013 Toyota AFL Finals Series by ensuring that a majority of sides in the top eight after Round 18 of the home and away season will have played by Saturday, August 31.
It will be the Gold Coast’s final match for 2013, as Guy McKenna’s playing group look to record their third consecutive win over the Giants and in doing so close the curtain on Kevin Sheedy’s illustrious coaching career.
