The Gold Coast SUNS left Etihad Stadium on Sunday disappointed, having dropped four premiership points to bottom-placed Essendon.

Individual winners on the field were few and far between, with second-year midfielder Touk Miller the obvious standout for the SUNS.

Miller has grown massively over recent weeks with increased responsibility in the engine room and had a career-high 39 disposals against the Bombers to go with seven marks, four clearances and 11 inside 50s.

Key defender Steven May could also hold his head high after the game with 20 disposals, nine marks and 10 one-percenters, keeping the dangerous Joe Daniher to just one goal.
