The SUNS went down to Adelaide on Saturday at Metricon Stadium, but it was a much-improved effort from a team hit by injury.

The 22 that took the field never stopped trying, outclassed by a Crows outfit featuring nine 100-game players and multiple All Australians.

Tall forward Peter Wright continues to emerge as a star of the future with 15 disposals, nine marks (six inside 50) and three goals.

Jesse Lonergan had 27 disposals (18 contested), nine clearances and five tackles in another four-quarter performance, while Dion Prestia (31 disposals) and Michael Rischitelli (24) also had plenty of the footy.

Nick Malceski collected 25 disposals, while Daniel Currie had 36 hitouts and kicked a goal, but probably should have kicked a handful.

Down back, Jarrod Harbrow kept star small forward Eddie Betts goalless. Sean Lemmens and Keegan Brooksby also competed well.
