The Hawks may have finished 26-point victors in Sunday’s match at Aurora Stadium but the SUNS showed a renewed fight, winning many of the key indicators.

As a result, the much-improved outfit has been labelled one to watch for the second half of the season by Hawthorn four-time premiership coach Alastair Clarkson.

The assessment was aided by the standout performance of skipper Gary Ablett, with 40 disposals (25 contested), 15 clearances, four inside 50s and a goal, he had football fans on their feet.

So it’s natural AFL.com.au have named the Little Master in their Team of the Week.

But Ablett isn’t the only SUN in the round 14 Team of the Week with Tom Lynch once again named at centre half-forward after dominating early against the Hawks.

The spearhead took 10 marks, five of which were contested and added three goals to his yearly haul, which currently has him sitting third in the Coleman Medal race.

It’s the fourth time the 23-year-old has featured in AFL.com.au’s Team of the Week in 2016.
