The Gold Coast Football Club membership drive is in full swing with a significant milestone achieved over the weekend when the tally cracked 2500.

The membership figure is the highest in the club’s short history and surpasses the membership figure from last year. Supporters have been asked to “Rise Up” and join the march to 2011 by purchasing a GCFC membership this year.

With a quarter of the 10,000 membership tally now sold the momentum is building.

At the membership launch last week GCFC Chairman John Witheriff said: “the year ahead will be the most challenging and most important year in the creation of the Club. We need supporters and we need members to be successful and we are again asking the Gold Coast to “Rise Up” to the challenge.

“To be the best we can we need 10,000 members to join us by July and help us continue the journey. We are confident we can meet the challenge,” he said.

Joining the GCFC as an Inaugural Member this season secures priority access to the best seats in the new Carrara Stadium for 2011 plus free entry into the NAB Challenge match at Southport on March 12th between the Brisbane Lions and Hawthorn, and all Gold Coast Football Club VFL home games.
