The Gold Coast SUNS have won their second game on the trot against Queensland rivals Brisbane in round 16 to bring the QClash Trophy back to Metricon Stadium.

There were a number of standout individual performances, with voting extremely close in the Marcus Ashcroft Medal for best-on-ground.

Touk Miller took out the honours on countback, finishing the game with 27 disposals (14 contested), 11 tackles, three inside 50s and a goal.

Housemate Peter Wright was the unlucky second in the voting, his 12 marks an astonishing stat for a player in just his 13th AFL game. Last week’s NAB Rising Star nominee finished with career highs across the board with 20 disposals and five goals.

Fellow tall forward Tom Lynch continued his outstanding form, also booting five goals to place him just five behind Lance Franklin and Josh Kennedy in the 2016 Coleman Medal race.

Across half-back Jarrod Harbrow and Jack Martin were excellent, providing plenty of drive for the SUNS. Martin had 20 disposals to his name at half time, finishing with 29 for the game while Harbrow had 27 touches to go with 12 marks and eight rebound 50s.

Midfielder Dion Prestia was prolific with a game-high 31-disposals, six inside 50s and seven clearances while Aaron Hall also collected plenty of the footy, finishing on 29 disposals, six tackles and eight inside 50s.
