Taylor Smith was the SUNS’ final priority signing before the AFLW draft. Still a relative newcomer to the game, Smith has only been playing football for two years after first giving the sport a go in high school. Since then, Smith has quickly shown her aptitude to football, joining the Gold Coast SUNS Academy and earning selection for the Queensland Under 18 team. A naturally gifted athlete, Smith has proven her worth as a key forward, impressing with her overhead marking skills and composure from set shots. She represented the SUNS in both seasons of the Winter Series in the forward line.
