Maddy Roberts joined the SUNS as the club’s first priority selection before the 2019 AFLW Draft. At 26 Roberts is a crafty small forward with great goal sense, playing local football for the Coolangatta Bluebirds. Roberts has played for the SUNS in both the 2018 and 2019 Winter Series’ and was also a member of the club’s AFLW Summer Academy program. In the past, Roberts has represented Queensland at Under 23 level and been a member of the Brisbane Lions’ train-on squad.
