We’re excited to be celebrating International Women’s Day with a morning of movement, connection and empowerment, in collaboration with She’s Spicy.
Join us for a free pilates session on the beach, followed by a Q&A with Gold Coast SUNS General Manager of Women’s Football Erin Phillips and She’s Spicy founders Frankie White and Matilda McKinnon.
When: 6am, Friday 13 March
Where: Mermaid Beach, across from Rafiki
The first 100 to register will receive a SUNS gift bag, and the first 100 to arrive will enjoy a complementary coffee. Protein smoothies and yoghurt giveaways will also be available for participants thanks to Dairy Farmers.
Proud to bring our community together to celebrate and connect women across the Gold Coast.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I still come if I don’t have a ticket?
Yes! You’re more than welcome to come along - no ticket needed
What should I bring?
Just bring a towel or mat, and some water.
Where do we meet?
We’ll meet on the sand at Mermaid Beach, right opposite Rafiki’s, at 6:00am.
Is this a free event?
Yes - the Pilates class is completely free!
We’ll also have free drinks for the first 100 people on the beach. Rafiki’s is just across the road if you’d like to grab anything else to eat or drink.
What happens after Pilates?
After the session, we’llhave a short Q&A with Erin Phillips, the SUNS General Manager of Women’s Football and She’s Spicy Founders, Matilda & Frankie.
Then we’ll wander up to the parkland, connect with others and enjoy the morning together with a coffee in hand.
How do I get there?
Parking is pretty limited, so if you can, we recommend public transport or a lovely walk along the beach. There is some parking nearby, but it fills up quickly.
