The Gold Coast SUNS have made three changes to the team for Round 23 in what will be club legend Jarrod Harbrow’s final match in the red and gold.

Harbrow will play for the first time alongside fellow Cairns product Alex Davies who will make his AFL debut against the Swans and has been named to start in the centre square.

Also coming into the starting 22 is Rory Atkins who was last week’s medical substitute.

After suffering a corked thigh in last week’s game, Jack Bowes has been unable to get up for Round 23, while Jacob Townsend and Jeremy Sharp have both been omitted.

It’s a poetic farewell for Harbrow, who is the Gold Coast SUNS and Cairns games record-holder, to share the field with Davies who represents the next generation of Cairns footballers.

The SUNS will also send-off inaugural SUN Zac Smith after the ruckman announced his retirement from AFL football earlier in the week.

Emergencies for the match will be Sharp, Townsend, Will Brodie and Sam Flanders with one of those four to be confirmed as this week’s medical substitute prior to the bounce.

The match will be played at Marvel Stadium and gets underway at 1:45pm on Saturday.

It will be broadcast live on the Seven Network (check your local guide), Fox Footy and Kayo.
