There have been three changes to the Gold Coast SUNS AFLW team to take on Melbourne this Saturday night at Casey Fields.

2022 recruit Shannon Danckert has been named to make her AFLW debut, starting on the interchange.

Danckert joined the SUNS in October last year after winning the Emma Zielke medal for the best and fairest player in the QAFLW, captaining Bond University to a Grand Final in 2021.

Ellie Hampson returns to the side after serving her one-game suspension, while Vivien Saad also re-joins the line-up after missing Round 4 with family commitments.

As reported in the Qscan Injury Update, Jade Pregelj comes out of the team and will miss the remainder of the 2022 NAB AFLW season with an ACL injury.

Also coming out of the team this weekend are Ashanti Bush and Lucy Single who have been omitted.

The match against Melbourne gets underway at 6:10pm AEST (7:10pm local) and will be broadcast live nationally on the Seven Network as well as Fox Footy, Kayo and the AFLW website/app.
