Gold Coast SUNS members and fans, your SUNS have taken it right up to the reigning premiers, Melbourne, at Metricon Stadium and now it’s your turn to vote for who you thought was the Austworld Player of the Round.

Levi Casboult continued his strong start to life in the red and gold, endlessly providing a strong contest forward of the ball, crashing packs and even clunking a game high nine marks to go with two goals.

Your Captains definitely led from the front.

Jarrod Witts in his second game back had 38 hit outs against the formidable ruck duo of Max Gawn and Luke Jackson.

While Touk Miller after a blistering 17 touches in the first quarter, finished the game with 38, nine clearances and seven tackles. His gut-wrenching efforts running from defensive 50 to forward 50 throughout the night were a clear standout.

Mabior Chol showed touches of pure class both forward and around the ground when covering for Witts in the ruck. Missed a couple of shots for goal but still managed to hit the scoreboard for one goal of his own and bring his teammates into the game on numerous occasions.

The pairing of Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson continued to show their development, Rowell was a clear standout in the first half, before the midfield battle evened out with the experience of the Dee’s coming to the fore.

The ever-present Sam Collins was a stalwart down back, often playing outsized against the likes of Ben Brown, Tom McDonald, Max Gawn and Luke Jackson.

So now it’s over to you, vote now for the Austworld Player of the Round.
