Although it wasn't the result the SUNS were after in Western Sydney on Saturday evening for our Round 3 Clash but there was still some strong performances for fans to vote for their Austworld Player of the Round.

Levi Casboult was colossus in the air all night for the SUNS, contest after contest bringing the ball to ground and clunking a few of his own, he finished with three goals and five marks as he continues his strong start to life in the red and gold.

Sam Collins led the backline exceptionally, he was fierce in the air and when it hit the ground, breaking through tackles to get the ball moving forwards.

Matt Rowell had a game high 13 tackles to go with his 18 disposals, working tirelessly in and under throughout the night at numerous stoppages around the ground.

Second year player Alex Davies was very bright early and spent more time on the ball in just his fourth game of his career.

Brayden Fiorini had a game high 25 touches for the SUNS to go with four clearances, when things weren’t on our terms for the majority of the night in and around the contest.

Winger Jeremy Sharp found plenty of the footy (25 disposals) for 563 metres gained and Lachie Weller the same on his return to the team this week.

Jack Lukosius played higher up the ground at times against the GIANTS and it was his ball use going inside forward 50 that had a large impact on the SUNS score with two goal assists from his 17 touches.

It’s up to you SUNS fans, get voting now for your Austworld Player of the Round.
