The Gold Coast SUNS would like to thank AFLW players Dee Heslop and Alana Barba after they were informed they would not be offered a playing contract for next season.

Gold Coast SUNS Head of Women’s Football Fiona Sessarago extended her gratitude to the departing players and thanked them for their service to the club.

“We would like to sincerely thank Dee and Alana for everything they have given to our football club,” Sessarago said.

“Dee was a foundation player for the club and played a role in helping to establish our football program which we are extremely appreciative of.

“Alana relocated from Melbourne to play for our club this season and was able to make her AFLW debut which she should be proud of.”
