The Gold Coast SUNS have four changes to the team which was narrowly defeated by Collingwood last weekend.

After playing in the VFL last week, Jack Lukosius will make his AFL return and has been named on the interchange.

He’s joined by last week’s unused medical substitute Brayden Fiorini, who has been included in the 22 after playing in the VFL the following day and recording 34 disposals and nine tackles.

Sam Day has earnt a call-up to the senior side after a four-goal effort against Coburg in the VFL, while wingman Jeremy Sharp has also been named to return.

Izak Rankine will unfortunately miss the match through the AFL Health & Safety Protocols, as will dashing defender Oleg Markov.

As reported in the Qscan Injury Update this week, Connor Budarick has ruptured his ACL and will be unavailable for the remainder of the season.

Last week’s debutant James Tsitas has been omitted from this week’s team but remains on the emergency list alongside Rory Atkins, Chris Burgess and Darcy Macpherson, with one of those four to be named the medical substitute 60 minutes prior to first bounce.

Set to face his former side once again, Brandon Ellis will this weekend line up for his 50th game for the Gold Coast SUNS.

It will be an afternoon jam-packed full of entertainment at Metricon Stadium, with the largest crowd of the season expected through the gates to the experience match-day.

Continuing the celebrations of NAIDOC Week, Indigenous artists Busby Marou and Budjerah will be performing pre-game and at half-time respectively. 

The SUNS will also be wearing the club’s Indigenous guernsey for a fourth time this season.

Fans are encouraged to ensure they arrive at the ground prior to 4pm, with Busby Marou slated to take the stage at 4:05pm.

First bounce is at 4:35pm, with the game also being broadcast on Fox Footy, Kayo and the Seven network (check your local guide).
