Malcolm Rosas Jnr and Alex Davies are both slated to make their return from injury, named in the Gold Coast SUNS VFL side set to take on Brisbane Lions on Sunday.

Rosas (hamstring) and Davies (knee) have been medically cleared to play after successfully completing the main training session this week.

The team will see a further influx of experience across the ground with Brayden Fiorini, Jack Bowes, Hewago Oea, Oleg Markov and Sam Day named in the side.

After an impressive first campaign at senior level, Oea will return to the VFL to ply his trade with the side set to benefit from his speed and pressure.

Davies and Fiorini will assist in and around the contest against an older Lions list that currently boasts a clean bill of health.

The run from Bowes and Markov will bolster the SUNS defensive lineup, while up forward Rosas and Day will be welcome inclusions.

The SUNS will go head-to-head against the Lions VFL side on Sunday with a 1:05pm first bounce, at Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex.

The formidable Lions outfit hasn’t dropped a match since Round 10, while the SUNS have seen two consecutive wins and are on the cusp of breaking into the top eight.

The game will be streamed live across https://www.afl.com.au/vfl and the official mobile app.

For those intending to travel via train, please be aware Translink have confirmed a major track closure impacting the CBD, Beenleigh, Cleveland and Gold Coast lines across Saturday and Sunday, so please allow for additional time for bus transfers.
