SUNS skipper Touk Miller’s outstanding season continues to earn recognition, with the 26-year-old climbing to second in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award.

Miller was voted best on ground and awarded his third Marcus Ashcroft Medal in the QClash against Brisbane on Saturday night.

The midfielder had 34 disposals and a game-high 10 score involvements in the tight loss, and received eight votes from the coaches for his efforts.

He shared the honours with Brisbane’s Lachie Neale and Brandon Starcevich who both also recorded eight votes from the coaches, with Charlie Cameron receiving three.

Noah Anderson was the next best SUN with two votes for his role in the midfield, while bullocking forward Levi Casboult was recognised with one vote for his four-goal game.

The results see Touk Miller sitting on outright second on the overall leaderboard with 80 votes, within striking distance of vote-leader Clayton Oliver on 86 and ahead of Lachie Neale (78), with four rounds of voting to go.
