Another bullish midfield performance has seen Charlie Rowbottom join Serene Watson as two SUNS named in the Round 5 AFLW Team of the Week.

It was the second game-high disposal tally in as many weeks for Rowbottom whose 26 touches moves her into the top echelon of ball winners across the AFLW at the halfway point of Season Seven.

Only three players have recorded more contested possessions than the 19-year-old who has also moved into the league’s top five for clearances after tallying up eight more against the Power – double that recorded by any Port Adelaide player.

She joins Watson who earned a spot at Centre-half Back with a composed outing, sweeping across defence. Not much got past the 20-year-old whose has played an integral role in the SUNS defence with plenty of rebounding off the back flank to boot.
