Versatile tall Jac Dupuy has taken out the Season Seven Coach’s Award, presented by TFH Hire Services.

It’s fitting reward for a superb second season at the SUNS for the 28-year-old who has been a damaging target in the forward line whilst also forming a dynamic ruck partnership with Lauren Bella.

The Coach’s Award is decided on by AFLW Head Coach Cameron Joyce and is awarded to the player who is most impressive in all aspects of the program – including on and off field, approach to improvement, performance and fitness.

Originally hailing from Cairns Saints, the former QAFLW MVP featured in all 10 games for the SUNS in Season Seven and finished third in the club’s leading goalkicking tally.

She kicked goals in five matches, including multiple majors in both the Round 5 win over Port Adelaide and again a fortnight later against the Sydney Swans.

Only midfield trio Charlie Rowbottom, Claudia Whitfort and Alison Drennan recorded more contested possessions than Dupuy (7.9 per game) who also led the squad for contested marks (1.1 per game, equal with Tara Bohanna).
