Gold Coast Vice-captain Bess Keaney has become a two-time winner of the SUNS AFLW Most Professional award, presented by KKTC.

The Most Professional award is voted on by the club’s AFLW staff on a 3, 2, 1 basis and encompasses all aspects of the program including football, education, operations, high performance, medical and media.

After taking out the award in her first season as a SUN, Keaney claims the honour for a second time from captain Tara Bohanna – the Season Six recipient.

In her third season at the club, and second as Vice-captain, Keaney displayed professionalism across all areas in her pursuit of getting the best out of herself and her teammates.

Only missing the one game – Round 1 against North Melbourne with her own wedding – Keaney led by example throughout the campaign, providing a guiding influence on-field, on the training field and behind the scenes.

A regular on the wing, her campaign also included the highlight of kicking her first AFLW goal in Round 2 against West Coast.
