Recruitment Process


A potential employee’s Gold Coast SUNS experience will begin with the recruitment process. Although this process may vary depending on the particular role being sourced, our general philosophy is to apply the best recruitment process possible in order to find the best possible match for the position.

The general process includes:

Academy Coach – U17 Boys & Coach Development

The position will have two distinct responsibilities.

1. In collaboration with the Academy Manager, select, prepare, and coach the Under 17 Boys Academy squad in a manner which optimises player performance and individual development through adherence to clearly documented processes; and in line with the agreed talent strategy of the Gold Coast SUNS.

2. Develop and implement coaching curricula and programs to improve the standard of junior coaching throughout our academy zone for both male and female pathways.

Academy Coordinator – Gold Coast & Northern Rivers

The Academy Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all GC SUNS academy programs in the GC & Northern Rivers academy zones. They will also coordinate the academy testing and selection processes for the region, player performance and individual development programs and work collaboratively with the academy coaches, overseeing load management, rehabilitation and pre-habilitation programs.
