Key defender Vivien Saad will be unavailable for Saturday’s AFLW season opener against Carlton at Ikon Park.
GC SUNS AFLW Physiotherapist Jasmine Herlihy provided an update on Saad.
“Viv reported soreness in her calf following the practice match against the Brisbane Lions,” Herlihy said.
“She’ll be unavailable for selection in Round 1 and we’ll reassess on a potential return to action date following this weekend.”
