Three Gold Coast SUNS young guns are in contention for selection in the AFLPA 2023 22Under22 Team.

Defending Club Champion Charlie Rowbottom and SUNS Academy product Lucy Single join Season Seven Rising Star nominee Daisy D’Arcy as the three SUNS in contention from the 44-player squad that was released today.

Rowbottom is eyeing a third successive selection while a spot in the final 22-player team would be a maiden selection for D’Arcy and Single.

For a player to be eligible for the squad of 44, they were required to play 50 per cent of season games (five matches) and were rewarded for their consistency across the season.

Voting is open for seven days from November 9 to November 15, via vote.22under22.com.au, and the final team will be announced on November 22 via the AFL Players’ Association’s social media channels.
