Opening Round at People First Stadium is officially a sell-out with the final general public tickets for Saturday’s fixture against Richmond exhausted.

All general public and premium hospitality tickets have been sold for Saturday’s blockbuster clash which is shaping to be among the highest-attended season openers in SUNS history.

“This is the second sell-out in as many seasons at the newly-named People First Stadium and it’s fantastic to be witnessing the anticipation around our club ahead of an exciting 2024,” GC SUNS Chief Executive Mark Evans said.

“We’re looking forward to seeing plenty of red and gold in the stands creating an electrifying Gold Coast atmosphere on Saturday afternoon.

“Our message for those still wanting to attend but without tickets, get in touch and sign up as a member so you don’t miss cheering the SUNS on against the Tigers this Saturday afternoon.”

The last sell-out at People First Stadium was in Round 16 last year when the SUNS hosted Collingwood. The highest attendance for a GC SUNS home match at the venue is 24,032 - a record set in Round 16, 2014.

The highest attendance for a GC SUNS season opener at People First Stadium is 19,425, coincidentally set against Richmond in Round 1, 2014.

The only way to now access tickets for tomorrow’s Opening Round match is to attend as a Gold Coast SUNS member. Memberships begin from $49, including the One SUNny Day package, which includes access to Saturday’s match.

All attendees to Saturday’s match must hold a valid match day ticket or membership. There will be no ticket sales or redemptions available at the gate.
