SUNS midfielder, Brayden Fiorini, has rocketed to the top of the VFL rebel Coaches MVP Award leaderboard this week, sitting comfortably on 38 votes from five games.
Despite the Gold Coast only having played five out of six games due to a scheduled bye in Round 1, Fiorini is perched four points above second-placed Jacob Dawson, from the Southport Sharks (34 votes).
The rebel Coaches MVP Award recognises outstanding talent and is voted on a 5,4,3,2,1 scale by Senior Coaches each home and away game.
Week in, week out, the 27-year old has delivered stellar performances, consistently collecting top votes, irrespective of the games’ final result.
In his last four matches, Fiorini has recorded 47, 34, 47 and 43 disposals, to go with eight, four, eight and 11 clearances - 11, eight, six and six tackles - and eight goals across those matches.
