It’s time to select your Austworld Player of the Round from Saturday’s big win in Melbourne.

Young key forward Ethan Read had one of the finest afternoons of his young career, kicking three goals as one of four multiple goalkciers for the SUNS alongside Ben King (four), Bailey Humphrey and Noah Anderson (two apiece).

Anderson led a SUNS midfield that surged in a final term that put the visitors beyond reach. He finished with 30 disposals and eight score involvements, only bettered by counterpart Touk Miller who kicked a goal of his own and nine score involvements in a trademark performance.

Matt Rowell was also at his typical bullish best despite close attention from the Bombers midfield, recording a whopping 17 tackles and five clearances.

In defence, Joel Jeffrey’s great form continued with a career-high 32 disposals and a scintillating goal. Wil Powell was immense roaming across half-back while debutant Oscar Adams earned the plaudits of Damien Hardwick post-game for a superb performance just 36 hours after learning he’d be playing his first game.
