StreetSmarts SUNS Academy prospect Dylan Patterson will return to bolster Tate Kaesler’s defence line for the first time since Round 13 in Sunday’s VFL clash against Carlton.

Fellow StreetSmarts SUNS Academy member Harry Heathcote is also set to make his VFL debut as one of five ins which includes captain James Tsitas. Zak Evans, who has been sidelined for the remainder of the season, will miss the match while midfielders, Will Graham and Ben Jepson will be absent from the engine room due to short-term injury.

After an electric performance against Richmond, livewire forward Malcolm Rosas Jnr has been called to Damien Hardwick’s side.

The SUNS side features a wealth of experience including 15 AFL listed players and plenty of exciting young talent to take on Carlton who are shaping up to be a fair contest, currently sitting at seven wins, nine losses to the SUNS’ six wins, one draw and nine losses.

The SUNS have defeated Carlton in their previous two meetings and will look to rise above the Blues on the Smithy’s VFL ladder with a win this Sunday, August 10.
